Manufactured in 1899. Letter states this was part of a 25 gun shipment to Simmons Hardware on January 24, 1899 listed as .45 caliber, blue with 4 3/4" barrel. Standard smokeless frame Colt with two line Colt barrel legend. All matching numbers. Standard blue and case color finish with Colt checkered gutta percha grips. CONDIITON: Very good. Basically a butter smooth patina with flashes of thinning blue and case color. Grips are excellent. Action indexes and locks up smoothly. Bore is well defined but shows some minor abrasion. A very crisp 19th century Colt. From the Robert C. Renneberg Collection
