Manufactured in 1913. The rifle now sports a round barrel with a dovetailed blade on base front sight, flat top sporting rear, takedown, blue finish, walnut stock with rifle butt plate. Forearms sports the ebony insert. The extra barrel wears the same sights. CONDITION: Fine. The mounted .30-03 barrel saw far less use than the .30-06, retaining nearly all its factory blue with minor handling marks. The Winchester barrel legends are crisp. The bore is bold. The .30-06 barrel has seen more use, retaining about 75% thinning blue with patina. Sharp legends. Bore is well defined. Both forearms are excellent with minor handling wear. Stock is proud to metal with minor impressions. Mechanically fine. This gun comes with a four page hand written latter from George Madis where he describes internal markings in detail.
