This carbine dates to 1923. Standard features include the ivory bead pinned blade on base front sight, the two leaf folding rear sight, a Lyman 2A tang sight, blue finish, walnut stocks, and carbine butt plate. This carbine was masterfully upgraded and finished featuring a Winchester No. 9 engraving pattern with vignettes on both sides encircling a buck along with American scroll and decorative borders. The stocks are at least XXX oil finished walnut with hand cut checkering and oak leaf carving. The lever wears bold case color and the reapplied blue finish was done in correct Winchester technique. CONDITION: Excellent retaining nearly all of the custom finish, bright case colors, fantastic wood with minor handling marks. Mechanically fine. Rifling is pronounced but frosted. Visually stunning.
