Manufactured in 1932. Standard features include the octagon barrel, takedown, Lyman 3W gold bead front sight, standard 32B rear sight, plain walnut stock with pistol grip, checkered steel butt plate, and the 11 groove flat bottom forearm. The left side of barrel sports the type 1 Winchester legend. Other early features include the tapped upper tang, smooth trigger, checkered hammer catch, flat crown, type 1 magazine tube collar with the top ejector stop pinhole. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains better than 98% blue with scattered light barrel freckles and handling marks. Legends are all crisp. Mechanically sound. Bore is bright. A very hard to find gun in this condition and caliber dating to first year production.
