Circa 1929 as numbered in the Winchester 94 range. Rifle sports a lightweight tapered nickel steel barrel with ramped Marbles Sheard front sight and folding V-notch rear. Flourishes of engraving present at the breech and on the takedown ring. Receiver appears to be factory engraved with a variation of the No. 6 style. Left side shows a buck and doe in a Western landscape in a large C scroll flanked by panels of tight foliate scroll and finished with line and scroll borders. Right side has a proud bull moose with similar scroll and line work. Deluxe style checkered forend. Very nicely figured checkered walnut stock which is a later replacement, fitted with a pistol grip, WRACO grip cap, and engraved steel rifle butt plate. Assembly number "816" present on the receiver tang, the stock unmarked. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains approximately 95% original blue with some thinning and scattered marks. Receiver retains the majority of its factory blue with carry wear, the lower portion fading to a toned patina. Stocks are very good with a few scattered nicks and a minor chip at the wrist. Good, strong and bright bore.
