Very attractive ensemble which includes a Colt M16A1 machine gun in classic military configuration with triangular handguards and cleaning kit trap in the buttstock. Original bird cage flash hider is included off the gun because the upper is currently fitted with a GEM TECH M4-96D silencer. Four 30 round magazines are included with this lot as well as a USGI pistol belt, load bearing harness, three ammo pouches, canteen, cover & cup, and entrenching tool with carrier. There is also wire-cutter/bayonet with sheath and clamp-on bipod. There is a 2nd upper assembly (20 - 1/2" long barrel and silencer) in 9mm complete with bolt and charging handle included which has a 9mm “Ward Mach” (Ward Machine) silencer. The bird cage for this upper is also included off-the-gun. A magazine well adapter to adapt the lower to take 9mm is included as well as a Austen/Sten magazine loader, and magazine. There is a 3rd upper assembly with round handguards which has a 12” long barrel, also with bolt and charging handle which is also included. The magazine well of the gun has electro penciled, “CCS0#4” on the right side. Typical Colt logo and M16A1 markings on the left side of the magazine housing. Barrel on gun has a chrome lined bore. All three uppers have windage only adjustable rear sights. Electronic NFA registry indicates "COLT" as the manufacturer. PROVENANCE: The manuals for both silencers are included as well as three manuals for the M16 which include a Dept. of the Army Operator’s Manual and Dept. of the Army Technical/Maintenance Manual containing information regarding repair parts and special tool lists. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original matte finish. Composite furnishings extremely fine to near excellent. Bores of all three are near excellent, shiny and bright. Consignor states that they only fired the 9mm conversion to test to see if it works, and it looks that way. Bolt faces are extremely fine to near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. A fantastic ensemble for the enthusiast who wants to have an M16 in both .223 and 9mm, and who wants silencers in both calibers. There are three NFA items in this lot, and each will transfer on a separate form if transferred on an ATF Form 4. THESE ARE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEMS AND REQUIRE BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THESE ITEMS ARE FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2025-09-214.
