Since the dimensions are compatible, many American made and registered Sten receiver tubes have been remanufactured into the more desirable Sterling machine gun. This is one such gun with “CATCO” manufacturer’s markings on the left side of the receiver tube along with the serial number and City and State of manufacture. Aside from the tube, this is a Sterling parts kit with the original number still visible through the pebble finish on the top of the magazine housing. One original 34 round Sterling magazine is included with this lot. Electronic NFA registry indicates, “CALIFORNIA ARMS TECHNOLOGY CO DBA CATCO” in the manufacturer’s block. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent pebble refinish upon remanufacture with near excellent grips. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. Just a fabulous pistol caliber machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
