Circa 1600. The long spike of the stiff diamond section is enhanced with a steel ball. Crescent axe blade and beak shaped flute are each pierced with circular holes. Tapering four-sided socket. Original four sided wooden shaft is embellished with many steel studs. The bottom of the shaft has a nice old repair. Remnants of original velvet cover with two tassel remnants at the top of the shaft, still present, between the four straps. Good armorer's mark hit on both sides of the beak. All metal parts are lightly to heavily pitted and covered with fresh red rust, which can be easily cleaned. The lower half of one strap is missing.

Condition: (Very Good).
