C. 1870s-1900. A clever late 19th century pocket knife system cane featuring a burl wood handle fitted with a push-button mechanism that releases an early folding pocket knife. The cane is mounted with a brass collar and an exotic twig spur shaft, terminating with a bi-metal ferrule. Overall good condition with typical wear consistent with age and use. Length: 35 - 1/2".
