1895, GERMANY: An excellent rare example of a Polyphon Style 6K music box with a replica Polyphon storage cabinet. The style 6K has 118 teeth in the music comb, 16 bar style bells, playing 56cm (22 - 1/2") discs with coin operation. The base storage cabinet is a replica and was done perfectly, with correct walnut veneers and burled inlay. This example also has a distributor label on the front glass, marked "F. Upmann". CONSIDERATIONS: The style 6K case is in excellent finish and solid. Small signs of wear from use, and light scuffs from handling. The bottom replica cabinet is in great condition with matching finish and correct woods. Play is coin operated, and works as expected. The music comb is complete with no repairs, and generates a strong sound and tone. The music box comes with 15 discs, some old and some new. With crank and keys.
