DSP. Maker marked "Pride Neon." A nice example of this c. 1930s double-sided porcelain and neon dealership sign from Pontiac featuring the iconic company logo. This sign retains its original porcelain bullnose on the outward-facing end. CONDITION: Side 1 shows good color and gloss throughout the field of the porcelain. There are specks of discoloration and isolated touch-up in the field; with that said, the majority of the damage is seen on the outer edges of the sign where there are heavy porcelain chips that have been touched-up dark blue at some point in the past. The neon is newer and lights up nicely (8.25+). Side 2 remains in similar condition, with wonderful color and gloss. There are a few scuffs and isolated porcelain chips in the field that show touch-up. The majority of the damage can be seen in the outer field and edges of the sign and where there is a series of dark blue touch-up (8.0). The bullnose remains bright and glossy with a few touched-up areas on the extreme outer edges (8.5). A beautiful and seldom-seen example.
