DST. Maker marked "Stout Sign Co." A nice example of this c. 1930s double-sided tin flange sign from Postel's Elegant Flour, which features the tagline "Ask The Oldest Southern Families." CONDITION: Side 1 shows paint loss, scrapes and wear throughout the field. The outer edges and flange section show further wear and deterioration throughout (7.0). Side 2 shows less damage in the field, with only a few scrapes and light wear to the color. The outer edges shows heavier paint loss and wear, the worst of which is seen on the left side near the flange bend (7.9).
