The live portion of this session begins on Friday, September 9, 2022.
1918, USA: This is a majestic Regina Style 34 coin operated 27" music box called the Orchestral Corona, due to the piano-style sounding board on the back. This version is in quartered oak, has the original gallery top and has an older restoration. Mechanically, both motors have good springs and operate correctly. The selector carriage moves with each selection, but can not be manually moved to select a disc out of sequence. CONSIDERATIONS: The oak cabinet is complete and with an older refinish, showing just light wear. The selector and operation is smooth and operates as intended. The double comb is complete and without repair. As noted, this music box is coin operated and comes with 14 discs, some with oxidation and needing to be cleaned. The machine has the original crank, original glass and with front door keys. A great example ready for any collection.
