Barrel is 8", bore is .54. Typical of the early flintlock pistols made for the American trade and widely exported between the wars. Barrel has the British proofs, lock is stamped with company. Single brass thimble and trigger guard. Iron parts are dark chocolate brown patina, walnut stocks are excellent with no cracks and some minor chipping on right at lock plate. Very good London export pistol. These pistols saw extensive use on the American frontier in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio just prior to and after the war of 1812. They were the highest quality London made and this example is in all original excellent condition.
