This rarely found assemblage is two all cloth figures, permanently locked together in a tight dancing position, with each having ones arm wrapped around to the back of the other in a permanent position as they are sewn in place. The other arms are also sewn together, but are outstretched. The construction is not only well-done, but unique in many ways. As it combines many sorts of materials. The back of the heads and coverings of the legs and arms are a knit or crocheted thread construction; the ears are cutout pieces of black velvet attached as required, with nose tips covered with a black felt. The eyes are made from pieces of cutout canvas. At all the facial features with mouth, teeth, smiles, etc., have been painted on the white felt behind. Both have thread whiskers and sewn on felt shoes of different colors. The hands are also light-colored felt with four separate fingers each and black stenciled lines on the outer surfaces. They stand 18" from bottom of feet to the very tops of the extended ears. The condition is very good, other than some slight dust and fading.
