SSP. C. 1920s. Maker Marked California Metal Enameling. An extremely scarce Sign from Shell of California originally used on early Tanker trucks, showing early fluted shell graphic. CONDITION: Excellent color and gloss throughout the field, showing no notable wear in the graphic, with only a few light surface scratches. One edge chip at the upper right with some very minimal nicks along remaining outer edge. Mounting holes showing only the lightest wear. One of the rarest pieces of early California Shell to find.
