Early 20th century. The bust, carved and painted as the head of a sailor with slouch hat, white collar and kerchief, has a pill on his tongue. It retains an early if not original iron bracket fastener, now mounted on a later rectangular wooden plinth. Provenance of OLIVER CLARK. 18" tall.
