Popular with the ruthless Apache gangs of Paris in the late 1800s, these Belgian made 5.5mm pinfire pepperboxes are outfitted with a set of folding brass knuckles which act as the pistol grip with an additional folding kris shaped bayonet, making for a very formidable weapon. This example is built on an engraved German silver frame marked "DOLNE-BAR" patent and "AF" mark. Double action only with spurless hammer, folding trigger, and gilt 6-shot cylinder. CONDITION: Very fine overall. German silver remains bright with some areas of patina. Cylinder retains significant portions of its gilt finish, wearing through at some spots. Mechanically fine. BAS
