Pistols in identical configurations with turnoff barrels, line engraved receivers with "LONDON" on right side, and "BASS & CO" on left, both under a valance. English push on safeties, slabside bag grips with inlaid silver wire in floral motifs. Pistol (A) is marked "1" on barrel and breech, while pistol (B) is not numbered, but given the manufacturing, design, and quality of work, it is distinctly possible these were made as a pair. CONDITION: Very good, with barrels essentially brown throughout. Receivers essentially dove grey. Stocks are full sized and attractive, with silver inlay lifting in a few areas. Both pistols with a live crack on left side, just behind boxlocks, and pistol (A) has several nailhead impressions along right side of stock. Actions work appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are very good, smooth, with a few areas of oxidation. An attractive set. EW
