With a 2 - 13/16" barrel, 3 - 1/2" over the breech, and 7" overall. Teardrop barrel with dovetailed German silver blade front sight, and partial under rib for ramrod, which feeds directly into a reinforced mouth. Breech with "DERINGER / PHILADELA" over top flat, offset "P" with rays, and two bands of German silver. Back action percussion lock with "DERINGER / PHILADELA" stamped at light floral engraving. German silver furniture including lock accent, forearm tip, escutcheons with acorn finials, sideplate, trigger guard with pineapple finial, heraldic shield with rocker edges, and teardrop buttcap with rocker edges. Classic walnut stock with checkering about the butt. CODITION: Lock, cock, and barrel devoid of original finish, now gunmetal grey with mossing and some heavier pitting towards muzzle. Stock and furniture very good with some handling marks, furniture is starting to lift out of the stock in a few areas, most noticeable at trigger guard. Mechanically fine, bore with heavy oxidation; patent breech has been opened up and is no longer a small hole.
