Caliber 11x59Rmm, Barrel length is 32”. Frame stamped “MDL 1866/74”. Manufactured at St. Etienne. Manufactured without hand guard with a full length walnut stock and blued furniture. Numerous inspector marks. Top of frame stamped “France”, bolt is stamped “RS60710”, left side of stock is stamped “63242”. This is a single shot, bolt action that has the iron butt plate. Metal is a blue - brown patina, stock is excellent with some carving on the right side, trigger guard is in age spotted gun metal gray. Bolt is also stamped “2910”. Gras rifle with standard military issue beginning in 1874. Very good bore and action.
