Manufactured in 1871 at the end of the Franco-Prussian War. This fine example remains in the white. Blade front sight and ladder rear. Plain walnut stock with crisp, legible cartouche. Externally visible numbers matching, including cleaning rod. Rifle is accompanied by a non matching but correct bayonet and scabbard, as well as a modern shooters kit which includes sights, gas seals, needles, projectiles, and tools. CONDITION: Very Fine. Rifle is largely bright with a pleasant, lightly aged patina. Stock has some impressions. Markings are clean and legible throughout. Very fine, bright and shiny bore. Fine mechanics. Bayonet is good.
