The US government contracted with J.P. Lindsey of New York for 1000 of his newly developed two shot rifled musket. They feature two exposed hammers used to fire two separate charges utilizing a single barrel. All metal is finished in the white and features three barrel bands, a metal ramrod, swivels, single trigger, US stamped butt plate, two leaf blued military rear sight with full length walnut stock. Left side of stock shows two bold ADK inspector cartouche stamps in boxes for Andrew D. King. CONDITION: Excellent. Does not appear to have been issued or used. Metal is still bright exhibiting minor oxidation only. Stock is superb with nominal impressions. Bore is strong and bright. About as nice as you will find.
