Manufactured between 1859 and 1874. This is a Model 1B in .22 rimfire. Frame is marked "C. SHARPS PATENT 1859" on the left side and "C. SHARPS PHILADA. PA" on the right side. The barrels are finished in rich royal blue and the frame is completely silver plated. CONDITION: The two piece grip panels are varnished walnut with very little wear. Some of the silver is starting to tarnish into a pleasing deep black patina. This fine pistol retains nearly all of the special finish with just a couple of minor handling marks. A very special Sharps pistol in top condition. Mechanically this derringer is as new. The rotator works correctly when the hammer is cocked. Bright and shiny bore with crisp rifling. A stunning small frame C. Sharps four barrel derringer.
