(A) MARTIAL COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER.
Produced in 1856, with a single line New York address. The frame has Colt Patent markings and is martially marked. The barrel breech has an Ordnance inspector mark of the letter "A" on the barrel breech. The grips are one piece walnut. CONDITION: The revolver has all matching numbers, including the wedge. The finish is as even plum/grey patina with traces of case color are evident on the loading lever. The bore is dark with scattered pitting throughout. There is a name scratched into the heel of the grip strap very lightly, illegible. Mechanically fine, cylinder slightly out of time, bore with strong rifling and frosting and abrasions throughout.
