Smoothbore barrel marked with a star and “US” on the left side near the breech. Flat lockplate with beveled edges and rounded face at the tail, brass pan, markings indistinct. Iron furniture in the typical Model 1816 style. Partially figured walnut stock, replaced hickory ramrod and iron ferrule at tip. Good condition, all steel components have scattered pitting and have been cleaned, markings heavily worn. Lock possibly reconverted. Stock good, scattered marks from use, chips, cracks, and dents.
