.44 Percussion, 8" Barrel length. One of the most popular revolvers used during the Civil War. This example is standard in all respects with the exception of a replaced dove tail sight. Standard features include 8" octagon barrel, six shot, single action, blue finish, brass trigger-guard, and two-piece walnut grips with inspector cartouche on left panel (Faint). Traces of original blue finish, especially on cylinder, numerous government inspector marks on barrel, frame, and cylinder. Indexes perfectly. Strong rifle bore with black powder abrasion, all nipples appear original.
