This is a single action, seven shot, tip-up revolver with octagon barrel and spur trigger. Features a brass frame devoid of any plating. Traces of blue in recesses of barrel. Sharp legends. Indexes fine with near mint rose-wood grips. These revolvers were manufactured 1857-1860. These were very popular with men marching off to the Civil War and thousands were purchased for soldiers by their loved ones. This revolver is housed in the rare and fragile Americana themed velvet lined gutta percha box with original cartridges. Box is in very good condition but it has had some repairs.
