The factory letter states that this rifle was shipped on June 13, 1893 in .45-70 caliber with a round barrel, which is how it remains today. Other features include a full magazine, 1886 dated long range folding leaf rear sight, walnut stock and rifle butt. CONDITION: The case colors of the frame have turned a nickel tone. The balance of metal is a pleasant soft blended patina with sharp legends. The bolt still retains most of its blue finish. The stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with just minor handling marks. The rifling, while frosted, exhibits sharp lands and grooves. This should make a great shooter and a true classic in the best caliber.
