This gun falls into the very early part of the first serial number block assigned to Underwood. All proper Underwood parts. "12-42" dated barrel. Flip rear sight. Type 1 barrel band. Proper high wood, I cut Rock-Ola made stock, which is correct for an Underwood carbine of this manufacturing period as Rock-Ola supplied them with stocks from October of 1942 until April of 1943. "RMC" marked in sling cutout. P proof on bottom of grip. Type 1 Underwood trigger housing. Type 1 dog leg hammer. Flat bolt. Type 2 slide. Checkered push button safety. M1 magazine catch. Original sling and oiler. Import marked on bottom of barrel. Missing the magazine. CONDITION: Gun has a pleasing light patina, showing wear with some finish. Markings are clear. Bore has strong rifling. Wood has dings and handling marks, showing wear with good markings. Fine mechanical function. GR
