7.7mm cal, barrel length 25-7/8", Manufactured at the Toriimatsu Factory at Nagoya Arsenal. The receiver bridge is stamped with the royal mum and characters signifying a Type 2. It has the standard two piece butt stock with full length hand guard. With drain hole in fore-stock. Standard, plum shaped handle, cupped edge sheet metal butt plate. Manufactured without monopod, therefore manufactured in 1943-1944. Bolt matches frame. All metal surface are a light blue-grey patina. Comes with all matching assembly numbers. It comes with an original sling. These are often referred to as Paratroop Models due to the takedown feature.
