Lot consists of: (A) British No.5 MKI Jungle Carbine rifle. Developed in late World War Two, these rifles saw little real action. Dated "9/46". Numbers match, including the stock and magazine. Numerous British proofs on the rifle and stock. Adjustable rear sight. Import marked on the receiver. Rubber buttpad has hardened from age. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. Metal retains 95% of its original black paint like finish. Stock is near excellent with light handling marks. Bore is good with a fair amount of rifling left. (B) British No.4 MK2 Enfield in the original shipping wrap. Rifle receiver is dated "55". A tag can be found on the butt-stock dated "AUG 1955". Rifle is packed in heavy cosmoline under the wrap. Wrap was cut on the receiver and muzzle for inspection. Rifle is import marked on the barrel. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal is 99% judging from where the wrap was cut for inspection. An excellent pair of British rifles for your Enfield collection. JA
