Referred to as the Pre-Model 42, Centennial Airweight it is a double action built on the round butt alloy J frame. Introduced in 1952. Features five shot, double action, fixed sight, shrouded hammer, blued finish, case colored trigger, and Smith & Wesson logo diamond checkered walnut grips (number does not match). Matching number on cylinder, frame and yoke. This revolver was manufactured 1952 to 1956. Revolver has light drag line and high edge rub wear on right side forward frame. Fine bore and action. Has the flat latch. Very desirable early pocket revolver in excellent condition.
