Model 1892 Trapper saddle ring carbine manufactured by Winchester in 1927. The left side of the barrel bears the model designation, caliber designation, as well as the Winchester trademark logo, with the right side bearing Winchester's address. Metal components are blued, while the stock and forearm are comprised of solid walnut. Additional features include a 14" barrel, blade front sight, "V" notch rear sight, saddle ring, as well as a carbine buttplate. This example is accompanied by an ATF exemption letter that indicates that this rifle does not fall under the provisions of the National Firearms Act. CONDITION: Very good overall, with the receiver retaining fair to good amounts of its original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to pleasant brown and gray patinas, as well as the usual area of wear on the left side from the saddle ring. Barrel retains the vast majority of its blue finish, exhibiting some mild spots of wear overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting strong, well defined rifling throughout.
