Always desirable US Winchester that went through a post war rebuild program. The frame and bolt are Winchester, but bolt has a mismatched serial number. The barrel is a Winchester 6-18 dated. The forward end of stock has the Winchester W with assembly code "79". The front sight blade is a Remington. The folding rear sight is Winchester. The safety is Eddystone. The replacement walnut stock has a US 1919 cartouche on left side and the front forearm does not match. The buttplate is a replacement and the web sling is stamped "S M Co" and dated 1943. CONDITION: Very good. The barrel, frame and trigger guard still retain their thinning World War I blue finish. The floor plate is patina. Stock is solid with scattered impressions and has been cleaned. Mechanically sound. Bore is bold but frosted.
