Circa 1988. A modern bespoke game gun with demi-bloc 27" nitro proof blued steel barrels. Barrels are built with 3" chambers, ejectors and a low profiled ventilated rib with matte filed top and round front steel bead. Top barrel reads "VACUUM ARC REMELTING STEEL" on right, left reads "IVO FABBRI - BRESCIA". Forend rib wing reads "15.9". Bottom barrel reads "KG1.110", 15.9". Barrel flat reads "I. FABBRI", "CAM.76","E701" (serial number), "AT" in box, and with Italian proof marks. Chokes are Full in over barrel and Modified in under barrel. The beautifully designed satin coin finished sidelock action has been exquisitely engraved with tight scrolls, flower bouquets, and game scenes. Right lock plate with falcon swooping down on a running hare over rocky and tall grass terrain. Left lockplate is engraved with a preying owl stalking a flying wild bird. Bottom action depicts a bird of prey swooping down with talons out about to battle an upward looking snake in a desert setting with cactus in the foreground. Both lock plates and trigger plate are signed by the famous master engraver "inc. C. Tomasoni". Action is built with Fabbri designed single inertia trigger, checkered and scroll engraved top lever and checkered safe slide. "SAFE" is engraved. Gun is auto safe. Single trigger is protected by a scroll engraved trigger guard which extends through a long bottom strap. Bottom strap with scroll engraving and guns serial number "E701". Honey colored European walnut stock with a bit of marbling and fiddleback is built with an English straight grip, vacant gold oval, and a fully checkered butt. The long finely matched sharply checkered forend with 2 tear drop scroll engraved pins has an Anson styled push release and Fabbri's cross shaped escutcheon which is engraved with scroll and floral bouquet. Internal forend iron metal is satin coin finished with serial number "E701" stamped. Gun resides in a light tan leather Fabbri makers case. CONDITION: Excellent; as new! Great gun!
