Starting in the 1960's, Israel acquired many US manufactured 1919A4 machine guns that were leftover from WWII, which they modified and converted for use for the next three decades. In the 1990's many were brought back to the United States and sold as parts kits, this being a key example. Right side of the receiver is Century Arms import stamped. Many components including the top cover, booster, receiver, etc. retain their Israeli markings, including serial numbers, "7.62" conversion marking, and the Hebrew letter "H". Receiver, bolt, and rear sight are stamped "7.62", signifying that Israel converted this specimen to fire 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition. Complete with a 1919A4 M2 tripod and traverse and elevation mechanism. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their applied green parkerized finish, exhibiting some small scratches and handling marks. Metal components on carrying handle are finished in green paint. Mirror bore, with well defined rifling throughout. Tripod shows some cosmetic wear, but is otherwise completely functional. A very nice example of a Israeli converted 1919A4, that would attract much attention at the range. -MLW-
