Circa 1996. A very rare modern over and under double rifle built in the USA. Blacked steel 23" barrels with ejectors, matte quarter rib and stepped filed front sight with small blade, polished steel tip, and fold over hood. Quarter rib with standing white line rear sight regulated and marked for 100 yards. Rib reads "7x65 R 162 GR. CP". Bottom barrel with eye for sling loop. Cylindrical barrel rotary mechanism is coin finished and engraved with a black circular vine. There is also a "GH" engraved in a circle, "PATENTED", "SER. NO 17", "G. HOENIG" and "BOISE, ID" are all engraved. Special rounded receiver with disk set strikers, unique locking mechanism, and double triggers; all coin finished. Trigger guard with scroll engraving. Rifle is built with scroll engraved small flag safety at wrist. Reddish brown stock with straight grain, sharply checkered pistol grip, blacked engraved grip cap with trap door and spare sight, beaded cheekpiece, eye for sling loop, and soft brown rubber KICKEEZ pad. 2-piece reddish rounded forend with strong checkering. Rifle lives in canvas styled case and travels with a Leupold 4x RF Special scope with mount. With instruction sheet for rotary round action double rifles, a pair of Uncle Mike's QD super swivels, and an allen head L key. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels are near mint inside and out. Action and triggers are sound. Stock and forend are excellent with slight wear from storage. Scope is excellent as is case. Very nice and unique rifle.
