Very nice matching bolt Steyr manufactured MP-40 with clear “WaA 623” markings on receiver tube forward of magazine housing, with matching “bnz 44” marked lower assembly. This makes this quite a late manufactured gun as production ceased in 1944 as production was refocused on the MP44/Sturmgewehr weapons. Barrel resting bar is a replacement post-war Norwegian manufactured replacement on original matching serial numbered barrel. One original 32 round magazine is included with this lot. Electronic NFA registry indicates “SCHMEISSER (GE GERMANY)” in the manufacturer's block. This gun is registered under an IRS number which has been added to the rear underside of the receiver tube. CONDTION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine original finish with some loss of finish at the high edges and some scattered scratches. Slight ding on right side of shoulder loop. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Bakelite lower and grips are extremely fine to near excellent with light handling marks. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto only machine gun. One of the better condition and matching specimens of the model to come along. Consigned by a discerning MP-40 collector who is starting to thin out his collection. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO & RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2025-12-198.
