Stellar condition fully transferable Australian FN-FAL L1A1 Machine Gun as registered by Desert Ordnance. This rifle is marked on left side "RIFLE 7.62 MM LI.AI. A" with a final "A" faintly hand struck. Braod arrow proof mark below Australian proof on left side of lower receiver with three position selector "S" "R" "A". Right side of receiver marked below ejector port, "S.A.F. 850184" and "AUSTRALIA". Lower assembly marked on left side, AD70 20". Bolt marked "70 20" in electro pencil. Broad arrow proofs also visible on underside of barrel and forward of magazine well on receiver. Very faint barely discernible import mark on left side of upper receiver above selector. American manufacturing added marking on inside of upper receiver not visible unless lower is swung down. This rife has attractive wood furnishings on bipod legs, as well as wooden pistol grip and buttstock. Original flip-up rear sight, folding charging handle and hard composite carrying handle combined with superior condition make this an incredibly attractive rifle. Accessories includes an attached heavy "Boyt" leather sling and three 30 round magazines. Overall appearance and finish is outstanding, near mint gray-green tinted finish on all metal parts with wood furnishings showing only some very light handling marks. Sling is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. It is rare to find an Australian military rifle registered as fully transferable, and this without doubt is the finest condition specimen of its kind that this cataloger has ever seen. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
