December 16, 17, & 18, 2025 Firearms & Militaria
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/16/2025
Top of receiver marked “MP 5 SD HK” with serial number and, “IF” date code indicating original manufacture in 1983. “Made in W. Germany / HK Chantilly, Va” on right side of magazine well. Three position “0, 1, 25” selector. Fixed stock. No magazine present. It appears that Bill Fleming acquired this gun and then fabricated and fitted his own receptacle and silencer to fit it to make his own MP5SD. Electronic NFA registry indicates “HECKLER AND KOCH GMBH” in the manufacturer’s block for the gun, and, “FLEMING,WILLIAM DBA FLEMING FIREARMS" for the silencer. PROVENANCE: From the machine gun collection of noted William “Happiness is a Warm Machine Gun” Fleming. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent black hard coat finish with some loss of finish at the high edges, more so forward of the ejection port. The skeletonized shroud the silencer fits into clearly reveals the “Fleming Firearms” manufacture’s marking on the silencer. Composite furnishings of buttstock and pistol grip are near excellent. Bore is extremely fine with firing residue in the bore and silencer. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. Clearly a project of Bill Fleming from the days when the H&K MP5 SD was something he wanted to tinker with. THESE ARE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEMS AND REQUIRE BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THESE ITEMS ARE FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. THEY WILL INCUR TWO $200 NFA TRANSFER FEES IF TRANSFERRED ON AN ATF FORM 4’S. JWK 2025-12-234.
