Springfield Armory manufactured Browning .50 caliber machine gun with 1944 dated tripod with intact manufacturer’s plate, traverse and elevation mechanism, spare top cover, and small box of about 20 metal links and approximately 42 Lake City manufactured cartridges in metals links. There is also a headspace and timing gauge included. This gun has attractive wood grips on the backplate and charging handle. Electronic NFA registry indicates BROWNING ARMS CO” in the manufacturer’s block. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent matte gray finish. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp and positive. This is a full-auto only machine gun. Tripod finish is extremely fine with smooth gray finish thinning to a gray patina. The Browning .50 caliber machine gun is one of the most iconic American military machine guns, and also one of the most fun to shoot at the firing range today. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2025-12-203.
