26" barrel with a flared muzzle measuring 4" across the bell. Flint lock with simple line borders and "COOPER & / GOODMAN" stamped in lower center. Barrel with offset Birmingham proofs with Crown and Crossed scepters with "B", "C", and "P" at three points, a Crown over a "V" at bottom, and a deeply stamped mark that is now illegible. Still offset but more towards center is a Crown over a "G". Large stock of comparable massive size with pintle hole in center. Iron ramrod retained by an unreinforced brass ferrule. Furniture of brass. CONDITION: Good. Metal with even freckling and a few areas of darker patination, top of barrel with numerous little dents. Stock has been sanded and refinished at one point with cracks and marks from use. Wood with other bumps and bruises acquired over time. Pintle mount hole is vacant. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with even patination throughout. Rearmost lock retaining screw is a modern replacement. EW
