7-1/2" barrel in .44 percussion caliber. Manufactured 1857. Offered is a fine condition, all original U.S. marked 3rd Model Dragoon. Features all matching numbers, except no number on wedge. Loading lever is numbered. The cylinder has approximately 30% Texas Ranger-Indian scene still visible with clear serial number, original nipples, and visible safety pins. Features the two leaf folding rear sight. Frame has U.S. stamp. Inspector mark stamps on rear grip strap, barrel, cylinder, and trigger guard. Walnut grips with traces of both inspector marks still visible. Cut for shoulder stock. All metal is a fine spotted grey-brown patina. Grips are excellent. Indexes perfectly. Strong rifled bore with minor black powder abrasion. An extremely clean, all original, never messed-with, martially marked 3rd Model Dragoon revolver.
