Near mint unfired Colt M16A1 machine gun as manufactured for the civilian market. Typical Colt logo and address on left side of receiver. Classic configuration with chrome lined bore, bayonet lug, triangular handguards, bolt forward assist, sling swivels, and buttstock trap. No magazine present. This gun was purchased by the consignor as a display piece and never fired. Unfortunately the original box and magazine are not present. Appreciate that this gun is one of the no doubt very few remaining unfired specimens. These guns are truly an American classic and will always have an appeal to the American military collector. They are also highly accurate and fun-to-shoot guns. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is mint unfired original finish with the possibility of a handling mark upon closest possible inspection. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is mint unfired excellent mirror bright. Bolt is also near excellent.
