It is rare to find a Royal Typewriter manufactured B.A.R. but here one is, and in very nice condition too! Currently fitted with a “ HAS 11-54” dated barrel with British Nitro Proofs, as well Inter American Import Company marks, this gun also has an Augusta Arsenal (AA 57) rebuild hand stamp at top of receiver. This gun retains the 1st Variation adjustable gas cylinder plug, and also has a bipod, carrying handle, smooth wooden forend, composite buttstock, and "F A S" selector markings with updated internals. Armasteel forged trigger housing. One original 20 round magazines and a modern black sling are included with this gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine over 95% smooth arsenal refinish with some thinning and some wear to a grey patina at the gas port nut. Wood and composite furnishings exhibit light but typical handling marks and dings. Mechanics are fine. Bore fine shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. This is a full-auto only (fast and slow) machine gun. The BAR is always a favorite among collectors and shooters. Very strongly indicated this is a returned “lend lease” gun from Great Britain.
