DSP. One of the finest examples of this highly sought after Circa 1930's Porcelain Service Station Sign from Oilzum Motor Oils and Lubricants, a product of The White & Bagley Company, Worcester, Massachusetts. Sign features the iconic "Oswald The Driver" graphic on each side as well as unique Oilzum black and orange porcelain. CONDITION: Side one is in absolutely outstanding condition showing incredible color and gloss throughout the field with no chipping. Side one shows only the faintest amount of light surface scratch as well as some very minor staining in the "Finest Oil" lettering which is almost unnoticeable. The outer edge of side one is also in outstanding condition showing just a couple of very light areas of wear. Overall side one displays incredibly well and would be extremely tough to upgrade, Grade 9.25+. Side two is also in outstanding condition showing incredible color gloss with an excellent graphic. Side two shows four very minor nicks in the outer field which appear to be factory type flaw pops in the Porcelain. Side two shows a few very minor areas of light surface scratch but overall outstanding as well. Side two shows some very light wear in the outer orange border but overall would be extremely tough to upgrade as well, Grade 9.0. Sign retains all six of its original grommets and is one of the finest examples known. A significant and important example of this iconic sign from Oilzum Motor Oils & Lubricants.
