This rifle was manufactured early on in the war, from September of 1942 to December of 1942. The barrel is a "10 of 65" arsenal replacement. Rifle still has the early war lock bar rear sight. Has the proof "P" on wrist and no visible cartouche on left side. Walnut stock is very good but has no finish. Gun retains most of the original parkerized finish. Has replaced Op bar in a different color. No ME reading (needs new barrel). Comes with OD sling. Has hex head front sight screw. With a couple of minor replacement parts this gun could be put back into an early World War II M1 Garand.
