Hosmer's Mechanical Froggie is the "frog of frogs"! Patent #2221381 was assigned to John D. Hosmer of Detroit, MI on November 12, 1940 and is considered by many to be the most coveted of all frog baits. 5" wood body features glass eyes, three single hooks with wire weed guards, and standard hand painted green frog finish. This particular example is about very good+/excellent- with general wear and aging, but includes its original, scarce, and highly prized 2 piece cardboard box. Box is solid. Instruction label is worn but lettering is complete and there are perhaps less than 20 known examples. A prize for any frog or miscellaneous collector!!
