Caliber .36 percussion, Barrel length 40”. This rifle sports a striped maple stock, full octagon barrel, half stock, pewter nose cap, double set triggers, brass trigger guard and butt plate. Features a Golcher signed lock with light engraving. Stock is in excellent condition with a couple of minor 1/4” hairline cracks at side plate. Metal is over-all brown patina. Rod is retained by two thimbles with a full under rib. Hammer does not stay cocked. Top of barrel flat is stamped “T.C. Harris”. We can find no mention of a T.C. Harris in any of our American gunsmith books so it may have been privately made or maybe an owner’s name.
